Vernon Dennis Hall, 63, Georgia

    Vernon Dennis Hall, 63, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Glenwood, passed away Feb. 26, 2012, at the Altus House Hospice in Atlanta, Ga. The funeral will be Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Pocatello, Idaho, under the direction of the Cornelison-Henderson Funeral home with burial following.
    Dennis was born May 27, 1948, in Pocatello. His parents were Lois (Capell) and Vernon Hall. He was one of four children. Dennis married Judy Priest Oct. 22, 1975, at the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They had four children: Karen Stroebele, Council Bluffs; Nicholas Hall, Maumelle, Ark.; Jared Hall, Marietta, Ga.; and Deanna McPhee, Medford, Ore. All are graduates of Glenwood High School.
    Dennis was an active member of the LDS Church his entire life and served a full-time mission in Argentina from 1971 - 1973. He graduated from Highland High School in Pocatello in 1966 and received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Idaho State University. Dennis worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years.  He was an amateur radio operator. He lived in Glenwood from 1989 - 2008 and enjoyed helping with the homecoming parade. He was trained for and participated in Glenwood’s Storm Watch, spotting tornadoes during severe weather. He served with the Boy Scouts of America for many years and enjoyed gardening, hiking and cross-country skiing.
    He was preceded in death by his father in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Marietta; his mother, Lois of Pocatello; his siblings; his children and six grandchildren, Courtney and Ellie Stroebele, Taytanah, JenaLynn and Kierstan Hall and Connor Hall.
