Tri-Center 0

Jade Nanfito scored four goals and Caden Johnson added two more for Glenwood in a 10-0 rout of Tri-Center in boys soccer last Tuesday.

“We did some good things but it was frustrating a bit because games like this sometimes create bad habits,” said Glenwood coach Cory Lovato. “But the guys were disciplined enough, and this being our second 10-0 game, they know the goals will come with how we play so we don’t have to change anything.”

The high-scoring night was a continuation of some strong play from both Nanfito. The senior forward had scored 7 goals In the Rams’ last four matches.

“He played a really good game. Tri-Center played a really high back line on defense so he and Johnson were able to get some balls through and we were able to get on them in the attack. Jade does such a nice job fininshing we knew once he got his foot on the ball inside the 18 (yard box) we knew he’d get his chance to get shots off.”
Jayme Fritts, Adam Severn, Jacob Slaughter and Renner Bardsley each posted a goal. Johnson assisted on three of the Rams’ other goals and Severn and Fritts each notched an assist.
Casey Godbout picked up his fifth clean sheet  of the season in goal.
