Rams win pair of gold medals at Sioux City Relays

The Rams’ Chase Razor won the high jump at the Ram Relays

The Glenwood boys 4x200-meter relay team and the girls 4x400-meter relay both topped the field at the Sioux City Relays Saturday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

The Rams’ quartet of Jackson Mulkins, Keaton German, Drew Schroeder and Victor Cruz raced to a time of 1:32.05 for first place in the Class B division.

The girls’ 4x400 team of Megan Hughes, Caitlin Hebel, Breckyn Petersen and Brooklyn Schultz ran a 4:09.95 for first.

The Glenwood boys added a second-place finish from its 4x100-meter relay.

The Ram girls got runner up finishes from Grace Berglund and its shuttle hurdle and 4x800-meter relays.

Glenwood won six events and grabbed second place in the team standings at the Big Red Relays in Missouri Valley Thursday.

Treynor had four titles of their own and picked up the team with 118 points to the Rams’ 110.

Haze Stephens (400 meters), Bryce Keller (800 meters) and Chase Razor (high jum_ won individual golds while the Rams’ 4x400-meter, 4x800-meter relay and distance medley relay all raced to gold.

Victor Cruz, Cooper DeLashmutt, Stevens and Dylan Pitzen ran a 3:31 to top the field in 4x400 while Cody Henderson, Bryce Keller, Landen Lechtenberg and Bart Mower won the 4x800 in 9:03.80.

Razor, DeLashmutt, Dylan Powles and Henderson clocked a 3:57.66 towin the distance medley relay.

Glenwood wins
own Ram Relays

Glenwood captured the team title at their own Boys Ram Relays at the Glenwood Activities Complex last Tuesday.

The Rams won gold in four events and second in five more while scoring 149 points for the team title. Council Bluffs Lewis Central was the runner up with 121 points.

Chase Razor (high jump) and Drew Schroeder (long jump) won individual championships. Razor had a top leap of 6 feet, 4 inches and Schroeder had a top jump of 20 feet, 5.5 inches. while the Rams’ 4x800-meter and sprint medley relays topped the field.

The  Rams’ sprint medley relay team of of Jackson Mulkins, Keaton German, Cooper DeLashmutt and Victor Cruz ran a 1:38.14 for first while Haze Stephens, Bryce Keller, Cody Henderson and Bart Mower had a top time of 8:45.08 in the 4x800-meter relay.
