Knights third, fourth at AHSTW co-ed relays

The Fremont-Mills girls were third and the boys fourth at the AHSTW Co-ed Relays Thursday in Avoca.

The Riverside girls won the team title with 162 points. Fremont-Mils’ girls were third with 141 points.

The Knights won six events in all, with Lana Alley capturing individual golds in the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump and ancoring the shuttle hurdle and 4x200-meter relays to top finishes.

The East Mills girls were fifth in Avoca. The Wolverines got gold medal performances from Caitlyn Crouse in the 1,500-meters, Cloe Brown in the high jump and Shaylee Stiverson in the discus.

On the boys side, Riverside was first with 194.5 points. Fremont-Mills finished fourth with 72 points.

Jonathan Ekpai (long jump) and its 4x100-meter relay both notched third place medals.

The East Mills boys tallied 47 points for seventh.

The Wolverines got third place finishes from its 4x200 and sprint medley relays.

Fremont-Mills girls win Lenox meet
    The Fremont-Mills girls won eight events and ran away with the team title at the Lenox Co-ed Track Meet last Tuesday.
    The Knights compiled 179.5 points to easily out-pace co-runners up CAM and Stanton’s 76 points.
    Lana Alley was a part of four gold medals for the Knights. Alley won both the 100-meter hurdles and 200-meters and ran legs on the gold medal winning distance medley and shuttle hurdle relays.
    Hannah Wilson won a pair of golds, topping the field in the 800 and the 3,000-meters and Calire Chambers added a gold in the high jump.
    The Knights added a gold medal in the 4x800-meter relay.
    The Fremont-Mills boys were fifth at Lenox with 62 points.
    The Knights’ distance medley relay team of Jonathan Ekpai, Sawyer Forney, Carter Rycroft and Anderson Carter captured gold. Carter added a second place medal in the 1,600 and Wyatt Lemonds was second in the 3,200.
