Sarah R. Hanson, 84, Council Bluffs

April 8, 1926 - February 6, 2011

    Sarah R. Hanson age 84 passed away Sunday Feb. 6, 2011, at her residence. She was born, April 8, 1926, in Lander, Wyo., to Ora and Golden Haney Hunt. Sarah worked for the Lewis Central Schools as a cook, retiring in 1990. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel Hanson and son Warron Jay Wingerd 11-26-2010. Survivors include son, Leonard Wingerd (Barbara), Glenwood; daughters, Pamela Marshall, Rebecca Foster, and Kimberly Madsen, all Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchilden. Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. also at Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment in Garner Township Cemetery with a fellowship gathering at Dudley Court Community Center.
