Iowa PBS To Premiere Road Trip Iowa In Malvern


Iowa PBS will premiere two Road Trip Iowa episodes featuring the Loess Hills in Malvern April 22.

Iowa PBS is bringing Road Trip Iowa to Malvern.

The statewide public broadcasting network will be at Art Church Iowa in Malvern on Tuesday, April 22, for a special premiere event featuring two episodes from season 2 of Road Trip Iowa.

In season 2 of the series, Iowa PBS continues the adventure across Iowa’s scenic byways, exploring the state’s hidden gems, historic landmarks and natural beauty. Two new episodes will feature the unique landscapes along the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway, one of Iowa’s most treasured regions.

Iowa PBS officials said the the evening will kick off with a reception at 6:30 p.m., featuring live music and light refreshments. The premiere screening will begin at 7:15 p.m., and will include a special game of episode BINGO to add some extra fun for the audience’s journey through the Loess Hills.

“We’re thrilled to hit the road and connect with communities along Iowa’s scenic byways,” said Iowa PBS Engagement Manager Caryline Clark. “These events are a fun way to celebrate the places and stories that make our state special, and we can’t wait to share the new season of Road Trip Iowa with our audience.”

Clark said the premeire is an opportunity to celebrate Iowa’s beauty and community spirit — and get a sneak peek at the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway episodes before they air.

Road Trip Iowa airs Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. on Iowa PBS, and season 2 begins April 9. These new episodes will also be available to stream on iowapbs.org and on the PBS app.
