Former GRC Campus Off Limits To Public

The former Glenwood Resource Center campus is now closed to the general public. Only individuals who have business with school district facilities or the Glen Haven Village skilled nursing facility are permitted.

As of Friday, Oct. 31, the property that once housed the Glenwood Resource Center is closed to the public.

The Glenwood Redevelopment Corporation announced the closure in a press release last week.

“The former Glenwood Resource Center campus is set to close to the public this week for the safety of current tenants and in anticipation of upcoming construction,” the press release stated. “ At the request of local law enforcement to ensure public safety, the former Glenwood Resource Center campus will be closed to the general public beginning Ocover 31, 2025. Access will be limited to individuals who have direct business within the Glenwood Community School District (home to Kids Place, administration staff and APEX curriculum) and Glen Haven nursing home.”

The press release noted that because of increased loitering and vandalism on the campus, security cameras and concrete barricades have been installed.

“Unauthorized entry may result in prosecution at the discretion of local law enforcement and Glenwood Redevlopment Corporation,” the release stated.
