Early Morning Storm Causes Extensive Tree, Property Damage
Early morning thunderstorms, carrying wind gusts up to 80 mph and possible tornadic activity, brought down trees and power lines in Glenwood and other areas of Mills County.
Civil defense sirens sounded in Mills County shortly after midnight as the front of the storm blew through western and northern areas of the county. Some areas of Glenwood and Mills County lost power during the storm.
Homeowners and tree trimming crews were out in full force removing tree limbs and debris in Glenwood, Silver City and other areas of the county Wednesday morning. The City of Glenwood has opened a dump site for tree limbs at the Vine Street Ballfield. The site is for city residents only.
