County In Need Of New Public Health Administrator
Mills County is once again in the market for a new public health administrator.
The Mills County Board of Supervisors has accepted the resignation of current administrator Kiernan Scott. She will serve in the position until July 20.
Scott has been the MCPH Administrator since December 2022. She filled the vacancy created by the departure of Lorie Ann Gentry, who left the position in September 2022 after replacing Julie Lynes, who retired in May 2022. MCPH Nursing Coordinator Lorri Greiner served as interim administrator between Gentry and Scott.
Before taking on the MCPH administrator position last December, Scott worked for Healthy Housing Omaha, a non-profit agency that works to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for children.
She is an Omaha native and intends to take on new job in Nebraska.
The Mills County Board of Supervisors and Mills County Board Of Health will determine the future of the administrator position.
