Ardis May LaRock, age 73, of Glenwood

    Ardis May LaRock, age 73, of Glenwood, entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2010, at her home in Glenwood after suffering from lung cancer. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery.

    She was born on Sept. 28, 1936, in Hartford, Conn., to Charles and Roma (Weymouth) Wilson. She met Donald LaRock in 1954 on Valentine’s Day. They were joined in holy matrimony on Dec. 18, 1954, in Lee, Mass. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Ronald Charles LaRock and Donna Lee LaRock. They lived in Craryville, N.Y., until 1969 when they moved to Glenwood. She was a loving mother and devoted wife of 23 years until Don’s death on Sept. 20, 1977.

    Mrs. LaRock was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald. She is survived by her children, Ron and Kris LaRock of Shenandoah; Donna and Rich Dickeson of Glenwood; sister, Annette Robinson of Hartford; grandchildren, Michelle and Steve Sprague of Audubon; Brian and Amanda Jens of Council Bluffs; Kristina Jens of Omaha; Amy and Dustin Terry of Essex; Jacey LaRock and Emily LaRock of Shenandoah; Hayley Perkins of Tucson, Ariz.; Ardis also leaves five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
