A.L edges Fremont-Mills, 3-0

    The Fremont-Mills softball team couldn’t solve Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln starter Lauren Hahnsen in a 3-0 loss on Friday.
    Hahnsen allowed just four hits and struck out seven.
    Lynde Madison, Melissa Kesterson, Kendall Fichter and Sydney Esary each recorded hits for the Knights.
    Mindy Lorimor (16-4) took the loss in the circle after giving up seven hits, one earned run and fanning seven.

Sioux City East 2,
Fremont-Mills 0
    Fremont-Mills could muster just four hits in a 2-0 loss to Sioux City East on Friday.
    Mindy Lorimor allowed just three hits and one earned run, but still took the loss.

Fremont-Mills 6,
Essex 5
    The Fremont-Mills’ offense smacked 11 hits and got 17 strikeouts from Mindy Lorimor in the circle to post a 6-5 win over Essex last Thursday.
    Lorimor allowed three earned runs and five hits in the win.
    Lorimor and Kendall Fichter each had three hits at the plate. Fichter also drove in four runs.

Fremont-Mills 9,
Shenandoah 0
    The Fremont-Mills softball team knocked off Shenandoah 9-0 in a non-conference duel last Monday.
    The Knights (14-5) were led at the plate by Sydney Esary’s three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs.
    Mindy Lorimor earned the win in the circle, allowing two hits and striking out 13.
