Tickets Going Fast For USAF Band Holiday Concert

More than 500 tickets have been distributed for The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band’s holiday concert in Glenwood next month.

Through the sponsorship of The Opinion-Tribune newspaper and Glenwood Community School District, the band from Offutt Air Force Base will present its 2014 “Sounds of the Season” holiday concert at the Glenwood Community High School auditorium on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m.

Free tickets for the Pearl Harbor Day concert are available on a first-come basis at The Opinion-Tribune office, Glenwood State Bank and First National Bank. A ticket will be required for admission and distribution is being limited to four per request. Seating for the concert will be general admission and ticket holders will be required to be seated by 1:45 p.m. on the day of the concert. Doors will open at 1 p.m. Persons who do not possess a ticket will only be allowed admittance to the concert if seating is still available after 1:45 p.m.

“We’re urging people to get their tickets ahead of time,” GCHS auditorium manager and concert organizer Gordon Woodrow said. “People who show up at the auditorium on Dec. 7 without a ticket are at risk of not getting into the auditorium for the concert.”
