Rams’ Arnold, Hernandez earn all-conference

Glenwood’s Brynlee Arnold and Charley Hernandez were named to the first team on the All-Hawkeye 10 Conference Volleyball team in a vote of coaches.

Arnold and Hernandez were tabbed on the first team along with Kuemper Catholic’s Sophie Badding and Ashlyn Badding, Harlan’s Zophi Hendricks,  Council Bluffs Lewis Central’s Karly Brown and Maddie Bergman, Red Oak’s Lexi Johnson and Liz Carbaugh and Council Bluffs St. Albert’s Lauren Williams.

Arnold, a UNO recruit, led the conference champion Rams with 330 kills. The 6-foot-3 inch senior also led the way with 99 blocks.

Hernandez, the lone freshman named to the first or second teams, recorded 247 kills.

The Rams’ Lauren Roenfeldt and Coryl Matheny were tabbed for the second team. Roenfeldt, a first year starter at setter, led the team with 883 set assists. Matheny, a senior, notched 222 kills.
