Rodney James Bacon, 72, of Red Oak, passed away Aug. 19, 2011, in Red Oak. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at the Glenwood Cemetery. Pastor Samantha Houser will officiate. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. There was an open visitation Tues. Aug. 23, 2011, at the Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Hospice or First Congregational UCC.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Shirley Shrimplin of Council Bluffs; and his brother, Roger Bacon of Peralta, N.M.
