Rams fourth at Winterset

    The Glenwood wrestling team took home fourth place at the Winterset Invitational Tournament on Saturday.

    Hunter Hoffman at 182 pounds and Alex Killpack at 285 pounds made Saturday's finals. Hoffman took home the top prize in his weight class while Killpack was second.
    “It was a great team effort,” said Glenwood coach Brad Asche. “The tournament was a very tough tournament, but we wrestled well.
    “This week and next is going to be a real grind for the guys. We will be wrestling a lot  in those 10  days.”

Rams sweep Hawk 10 double dual
    The Glenwood wrestling team improved to 8-1 on the season in duals with a pair of wins over Council Bluffs St. Albert and Red Oak on Thursday.
    The Rams knocked off the Falcons 54-39 and edged Red Oak 67-9 in the capper.
    Against St. Albert, Glenwood got wins in nine of 14 matches, with Seth Warren (126 pounds), Brogan Weddum (132), A.J. Clark (138), Zach Magnussen (160), Hunter Hoffman (182) and Clayton Giesting (195) all recording pins.
    The Rams won 12 matches against the Tigers, with five coming via forfeit and five more coming from falls by Warren, Weddum, A.J. Clark, Cody Crouch (170) and Alex Killpack (285).
    Glenwood heads to Council Bluffs Lewis Central on Thursday for a key Hawkeye 10 Conference dual.
