Phyllis N. Fisher, 81, Glenwood

Phyllis N. Fisher, 81, of Glenwood, formerly of Pacific Junction, passed away Oct. 5, 2011 in Council Bluffs. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Rev. Mike Stevens officiated. Memorials may be made to the Pacific Junction United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Phyllis was born Nov. 16, 1929 in Nodaway, to Darley and Ruby (Reynolds) Agnew. Following high school, Phyllis continued her education to become a teacher. She taught country school and later became employed with the Glenwood Resource Center.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Lorren Charles Fisher Aug. 14, 1949, in Council Bluffs. To this union two sons were born, Terry Reece and Tracey Ray. Phyllis enjoyed raising her family and was a talented musician, playing the organ, piano and singing. She enjoyed bridge and various card games, traveling and especially loved being with her family.
Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents, husband and one brother. She is survived by her sons, Terry and wife Christine Fisher of Canyon City, Colo.; Tracey and wife Debbie Fisher of Pacific Junction; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; extended relatives and many friends.
