Merrill Luther Johnson, 96, of Sidney, formerly of Bartlett, passed away Jan. 4, 2024 in Sidney. Interment to be held at a later date. A visitation and a celebration of life were held Jan. 6 at the Bartlett Community Church in Thurman.
Preceding Johnson in passing were his parents; sons, James Edwin Hammers and Patrick Earl Hammers and stepson, Wesley Scott Johnson. Survivors include his wife Emma Jo Johnson of Sidney, Iowa; sons, Doug (Deborah) Hammers of North Liberty, Lee Merrill Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., Max Kirk (Lou) Johnson of Thurman and Eric (Leida) Johnson of Glenwood, Iowa.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
