Charles Lawerence Hofmockel, 68, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023, in his home in Phoenix, Ariz. 

Charles (Chuck) was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Council Bluffs, to Harold R Hofmockel and Verla Seitz Hofmockel. Charles went to school in Glenwood. After graduating high school, he attended Iowa State University where he would go on to graduate with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. 

Charles was married to Cindy Klingman Hofmockel on June 14, 1975, in Elgin, Iowa. Charles & Cindy were blessed with two sons, Blaine Matthew Hofmockel of Phoenix, and Troy James Hofmockel of West Des Moines. 

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons, Blaine and Troy; granddaughters, Chanel Hatton, Hayley Cavanaugh, and Violet Hofmockel; one brother, Jack (Melissa) Hofmockel and sisters, Kathy (Roy) McLuen ad Tara Hofmockel as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A private memorial service is being planned in honor of Charles’ life, to be attended by his closest family members and friends.
