Norma J. Todd, 85, Sun Prairie, Wis.

Norma Jean Lipsett Todd, age 85, passed peacefully at her home in Sun Prairie, Wis., on Nov. 17, 2010, after struggling with multiple health complications. She was born March 23, 1925, to loving parents Charles “Irish” Lipsett and Emma “Ruth” Lipsett. In 1943, Norma Jean graduated from the University of Nebraska with a masters degree in English. While working on her PHD, she taught English at Cottey College in Nevada, Mo. Throughout her life she wrote short stories with several being published.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Todd and her brother Richard Lipsett and his wife Patricia Taenzler Lipsett. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Todd Loder, son-in-law Phillip Loder, granddaughter Rachel Loder, two nieces Carol Lipsett Fisher and Laura Lipsett Long, two nephews Ed Lipsett and Joe Lipsett, and their children and grandchildren.
In her loving memory, a funeral service was held in Sun Prairie, on Nov. 22, 2010, at The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Norma Jean was delivered home to rest with her parents in Glenwood. The burial service was at the Glenwood Cemetery on Nov. 29, 2010.
