Mills County Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge

A Pacific Junction man is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, following an altercation with his brother.
On May 17, at approximately 8:25 P.M., the Mills County 911 Communication Center received a 911 call of two males involved in a physical altercation and allegedly shooting at one another. Mills County Sheriff's Office deputies were immediately dispatched to the scene and advised that one of the suspects had fled in a vehicle.
The offender was identified as Aaron McDaniel, 34, of Pacific Junction, Iowa.
During the investigation, deputies determined that Aaron McDaniel had been involved in a physical altercation with his brother, Christopher McDaniel.
As a result of the investigation, deputies filed arrest warrants for Aaron McDaniel on the following violations of Iowa Code:
- 707.1 Attempted Murder – B Felony
- 708.6 (2) Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon – D Felony
- 708.3 (2) Assault While Participating in a Felony – D Felony
Aaron McDaniel was later arrested in Sarpy County, Neb. After waiving extradition Aaron McDaniel was transported to the Mills County Jail, where he is currently being held pending trial.
