Mayberry, Sayers Win County Supervisor Seats In General Election

Republicans Lonnie Mayberry and Jack Sayers were elected to two seats up for election on the Mills County Board Of Supervisors in last Tuesday’s general election. Mayberry was the top vote-getter, receiving 4,526 votes. Sayers landed in second place with 4,349 votes.

Democrat Bruce Wray was the third-place finisher with 1,980 votes. Libertarian candidate Jessica Brooks finished in fourth place with 1,120 votes and Henry Clark (no party) came in fifth place with 1,029 votes.

Three Republican candidates for county offices were running unopposed and won easily. Amber Farnan was elected Mills County Auditor with 6,588 votes, Greg Schultz received 6,877 votes for county sheriff and DeShawne Bird-Sell received 6,497 votes for county attorney.
