On June 10, 2010, after a rather long and courageous battle with cancer, Michael Matthew “Mike” Bolan entered into eternal rest at the hospice house in Glenwood, having attained the age of 67 years. Funeral services were held Monday, June 14, 2010, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Glenwood, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.

Mike was born June 23, 1942, in Omaha, to Mae Catherine Radford and Duke Bolan. He attended elementary and secondary school in Omaha, graduating from South High. During the Viet Nam War, he served in the Navy from 1958 to 1962.

After approximately 10 years Mike and Gerry returned to Glenwood and continued to enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, sporting events, and especially Husker football! Most of all he loved being with his family, being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
