Mary Dorothy Storm, 92, Hastings

Mary Dorothy Storm, age 92, of Hastings, formerly of Omaha and Toledo, Ohio, died at Alegent Health Hospice House in Omaha, on March 11, 2009. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009, at Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern, with family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services and interment will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Toledo, Ohio.

One of four children of Lorenc and Mary (Sezman) Toth, she was born on August 5, 1916, in Toledo. She grew up and went to school in the Birmingham section of Toledo. She and William Edwin Storm were married in September of 1938 in Toledo. They were married 62 years when he died in January of 2001. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Richard William, William Charles, and Kathleen Lynette.

Mrs. Storm worked as a sales clerk at Lamson Department Store, downtown until they closed and retired from J.C. Penney’s in Toledo. She was active at the Eleanor M. Kahle Senior Center until 2003, when she moved to Omaha, to live with her son Dick and his wife Dianne. In 2004 they moved to Hastings, to be closer to her granddaughter Andrea and husband Ryan Goy. Mrs. Storm enjoyed her great-grandchildren and socializing with her family and friends. She entered the Alegent Health Hospice House on March 5, 2009.

Mrs. Storm was preceded in death by her parents; husband William; brothers, Frank Toth; Larry Toth; and George Toth. She is survived by her sons, Dick Storm and wife Dianne of Hastings, and Bill Storm and wife Patsy of Naperville, Ill.; daughter Kathy Wenninger of Toledo; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The family requests memorials be made to Alegent Health Hospice House in Omaha.
