Lyle Pierce, Jr., 32, Plattsmouth, Neb.

Lyle Pierce, Jr., age 32, of Plattsmouth, Neb., formerly of Glenwood, died at his home in Plattsmouth. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Dean McPherson officiated.

Mr. Pierce was born Aug. 27, 1976, in Council Bluffs to Lyle Pierce, Sr. and Mary Elaine (Bennett) Pierce. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1994 and was united in marriage to Candice Marie Meyers on Sept. 21, 2002. in Glenwood. Although married for just six years, they had been together for 10 years. He loved being outside and playing with his children, Marcus, Shayla and Chloe. On the weekends, he enjoyed going over to his dad’s house to watch football. His favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. He also loved wrestling. He was employed with Roberts Dairy and was a hard worker. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Candice Pierce; and children, Marcus Pierce; Shayla Pierce; and Chloe Pierce, all of Plattsmouth; parents, Lyle Pierce, Sr. and Mary Pierce both of Plattsmouth; brothers and sisters, Tammy Norman of Bellevue, Neb.; Phil Pierce of Plattsmouth; Kim Morris of Nehawka, Neb.; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
