Glenwood downs L.C. in five games

    The Glenwood volleyball team defeated Council Bluffs Lewis Central 25-27, 25-17, 25-19, and 15-12 in a Hawkeye 10 Conference match on Thursday.
    “That was a fantastic night of volleyball,” said Glenwood coach Kara Huisman. “Shelby Brewster and Megan McKern came off the bench and provided us with great play.  Lexi Fisher continues to be a constant force in all areas of the game.  We have prepared for that type of match and it was a great night for our seniors and team."
     Brewster added eight kills and two blocks and served 14-for-14 with seven digs and two kills.
    Morgan Lucy led a strong Glenwood attack with a game-high 21 kills and five blocks.
    Lexi Fisher served 23-for-24 serving with five aces, 15 digs, three assists, and two blocks.
    Kenna Henze had 19 assists, six digs and an ace.
     Erika Schwanke had 13 assists and seven digs.
    Glenwood improved to 12-11 overall and 3-4 in the conference with the win.
