Glenwood City Clean-Up Days Oct. 23-24

Glenwood residents have an opportunity to dispose of unwanted junk this week.

The city of Glenwood is sponsoring a citywide clean-up Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24. The city is providing dumpsters near the city baseball field at Vine and Tyson Streets.

The cleanup will run from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on both days.

The cleanup is free to all city residents but identification will be required at the time of drop off. A driver’s license or a recent utility bill is an accepted form of verification. County residents are welcome to drop off but will be subject to a cash-only fee.

Materials accepted at the cleanup include household trash, major appliances (three per household), lawn and household furniture, toys, bikes, clothes, lawn mowers, grills, mattresses, tree branches (less than six inches in diameter), cement and computers (CPUs only).

Items not accepted are vehicles and large auto parts, paint, motor oil, car batteries, medical waste, explosive materials/liquids, animal waste, televisions or computer monitors. equipment or tires.
