Freda Belle Curry, 72, of Mosier, Ore.
Freda Belle Curry, 72, of Mosier, Ore., died Jan. 3, 2010, peacefully from her battle with cancer. A celebration of life was held Jan. 7, 2010, at the Lake Sawyer Christian Church, in Black Diamond, Wash., with burial at the Tahoma National Cemetery.
Mrs. Curry was born on June 16, 1937, in Westboro, Mo., to the late Red and Addie Harris. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1955. She served in the US Navy for four years. She lived most of her life in Washington. She loved Lake Roesiger. She worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years, then retired in 1995. She had lived in Mosier the last four years. She loved to cook, entertain and spoil her grandchildren. Mrs. Curry is survived by her beloved husband Michael Curry of 28 years; three daughters; one step-daughter; one step-son; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Bernice Shaw, Carolyn Hunter and Decie Gibson; and brothers T.J. and Albert Harris.
