Motrocyclist Dies In Highway 34 Collision

A motorcyclist died in a head-on collision late Friday night on Highway 34 in western Mills County.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, 39-year-old Jacob Otto Saxer of Bellevue, Neb., was traveling westbound on the eastbound side of Highway 34 near Mile Marker 1 when his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with the front of a 2019 Kia Niro driven by Leeva Unique Kitchens, 25, of Sidney.

Saxer was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and transported to the Douglas County Medical Examiner in Omaha. Kitchens was transported by Glenwood Rescue to a hospital in Bellevue.
