Clarold E. Rogers, 88, Glenwood
Clarold E. Rogers, age 88, of Glenwood, died June 8, 2009, in Omaha. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Rogers was born July 13, 1920, in Percival, to Arthur C. and Opal Maude (Bicknell) Rogers. He graduated from Tabor High School and earned his bachelor and law degrees from the University of Iowa.
Mr. Rogers was united in marriage to Ada Christel Schaaf on Dec. 20, 1942, in Randolph. To this union three children were born, Clarold Jr., Rebecca and Keith. Mr. Rogers practiced law in Washington, D.C., before moving to Glenwood in 1965, where he became a partner with L.T. Genung, which became Genung and Rogers Law Firm. He was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church, Mason and Elk Lodges. He enjoyed his family and attended as many of their events as possible.
Preceding Mr. Rogers in death were his parents, wife, Christel in 2008; two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his children, Clarold Jr. and wife Linda Rogers of Atlanta, Ga.; Rebecca (Rogers) and husband Douglas Kadel of Omaha; Keith and wife Tamara Rogers of Portland, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends. A memorial fund has been established. Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.
