Arlo R. Hansen, 72, Goodland, Kan.

    Arlo Ray Hansen, formerly of Glenwood, age 72, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 26, 2010, at his home in Goodland, Kan. 

Arlo is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Alice Hansen, and sister, Jeanette Dugger.   He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Lou of Goodland, Kan.; daughter Melissa Hansen of Boone; daughter DeAnn and son Rick Eledge of Plattsmouth, Neb.; three grandchildren: Ricky, Tana and Leo Eledge; and numerous relatives.
    Arlo enjoyed life, family, pets and friends.  He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club for 28 years and proud of all the work they have done.  He will be forever remembered and cherished as the man with a heart of gold and magic hands.
    A memorial service will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood, on Friday the 15th of October at 2 p.m. Memorials will be directed to the Lymphoma Society and sent to Bateman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 278, Goodland, KS 67735.
