Nearly 6,200 Doses Of Vaccine Administered To Mills County Residents

As of Tuesday morning, March 30, 6,190 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered to Mills County residents, according to a weekly report released by  Mills County Public Health.

“This week will be the last week for individuals over 65 years of age, disabled individuals and those with underlying health conditions to receive priority vaccinations,” the MCPH report stated. “If you qualify in any of these groups, please register for an appointment at www.millscountyiowa.gov or the Mills County Public Health Facebook page. Appointments can also be booked through our Vaccine Hotline at 712-274-3643.”

Beginning April 5, MCPH anticipates vaccine eligibility opening up to anyone over the age of 18 in Mills County.

MCPH, Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Glenwood and Kohll’s Pharmacy in Malvern have online schedulers on their respective website pages. Available appointment times with MCPH are updated on the county’s webpage and on the MCPH Facebook page.
Over the past week, 23 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Mills County. The county’s 14-day positivity rate is 9.3, down from 11.5 percent one week ago.
