Glenwood Businesses Joining Forces To Promote Hometown Shopping

Eleven businesses are participating in the second annual Glenwood Shop Hop this weekend, an event designed to showcase Glenwood retailers and restaurants and encourage hometown shopping.

Jeni Kirsch, owner of jWren boutique on the west side of Town Square, said the event is a prelude to “Small Business Saturday” which is held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

“We’re all small businesses and we’re working together to make Glenwood a destination,” Kirsch said. “We need to co-market to help each other.”

Patrons who come to the participating businesses on Friday and Saturday will be given a Shop Hop card that can be stamped at each establishment. By getting their card stamped, customers will be eligible to win special prizes being given away by the 11 businesses.

The participating businesses are jWren boutique, Mitzi Mo’s, McCormick Station, Garden Treasures Home and Hardware, Vine Street Cellars, Keg Creek Brewing Co., Adriano’s Brick Oven, Harvest Moon Coffee, Gridiron Garage, Town Floral and House of Ananda Boutique.
